A century ago Ludwig Wittgenstein changed philosophy for ever

 
Written in the trenches, his “Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus” (526 numbered statements) baffles and inspires
Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889 - 1951) is regarded by many as the most outstanding philosopher of the twentieth century.

Yes, I know this is so little ... but it might arouse your curiosity.

The book is 75 pages long – "As to the shortness of the book, I am awfully sorry for it ... If you were to squeeze me like a lemon you would get nothing more out of me," he told Ogden – and presents seven numbered propositions (1–7), with various sub-levels 
  1. The world is everything that is the case.
  2. What is the case, the fact, is the existence of atomic facts.
  3. The logical picture of the facts is the thought.
  4. The thought is the significant proposition.
  5. Propositions are truth-functions of elementary propositions.
  6. The general form of a truth-function is:This is the general form of proposition.
  7. Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.
