Spanish News in English

Dear readers,

There was good news on the coronavirus front in Spain this week, as the number of Covid-19 deaths fell to their lowest in May since the month of August.

Meanwhile, the country's health authorities have opted to vaccinate the 40-49 age group with the Janssen vaccine, which will speed the campaign up given that it only requires one shot to offer its full protection.

From Monday, global travelers will be able to return to Spanish borders, but only if they have been vaccinated more than 14 days previously. The full details of these restrictions are due to be released today, Saturday.

And finally, there are new coronavirus restrictions in force across Spain. Check out our interactive map to see what you can and can't do, depending on your location.
