Spanish News in English EL PAÍS

Dear readers,

Our headlines were dominated this week by developments in the world of travel, as Spain slowly starts to reopen to foreign visitors ahead of the key summer tourism season.

Meanwhile, in Tenerife there was a tragic discovery, as the body of one of the missing girls kidnapped by their father in April was found in a bag weighed down at the bottom of the sea. On Friday the search continued for the youngster's missing sister.

On the international stage, there was good news for Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who is due to meet US President Joe Biden for the first time next week, at a bilateral meeting on the fringes of a NATO summit.

And finally, we are back with another episode of our ¿Qué? Spanish News Podcast, in which we consider the role of the Spanish regional governments during the coronavirus crisis.

We hope you enjoy this selection of articles from the EL PAÍS English Edition.

Thanks for reading.
