Personally, After reading the informative sheet (IS), I considered relevant and vital to warn my British neighbor to pay attention "to the food labelled especially for vegetarian or vegan people", mainly because in accordance with the IE these could not be healthy for them. What´s your take?. Thanks.
Thank you for your contribution! You've identified an important point in the information sheet: foods labelled as suitable for vegetarians or vegans are not necessarily healthy, as they may contain high levels of salt, fat or sugar.
However, remember that the text does not suggest that vegetarian or vegan diets are unhealthy, since that would distort the original message. On the contrary, a well-planned vegetarian or vegan diet can meet our nutritional needs at any stage of life. The key message is that we should pay attention to the nutritional value of individual products rather than assuming that everything labelled vegetarian or vegan is automatically healthy.
