Phonemic Chart & Regular Verbs Past Forms Pronunciation

It provides examples in front, middle and final position of the phonenes and voiced vs unvoiced consonants

REMEMBER for regular verbs past forms

Voiced + /d/ --> dubbed /-bd/,     charged /-dʒd/,     

logged /-gd/,     lived /-vd/,     bathed /-ðd/,     

caused /-zd/,     bombed /-md/,     listened /-nd/, 

belonged /-ŋd/,     labelled /-ld/... ; 

[vowels are voiced too] answered /-əd/, barred /-ɑːd/

veered /-ɪəd/,     stirred /-ɜːd/, 

bored /-ɔːd/,     blurred /-ɜːd/ ...

Unvoiced + /t/ --> stopped /-pt/,     matched /-tʃt/, 

parked /-kt/,     stuffed /-ft/,     unearthed /-θt/

stressed /-st/,     washed /-ʃt/ ... 

Verbs ending in "t" or "d" will take /ɪd/ --> 

decided  /dɪd/, persuaded /dɪd/ ... 

started /tɪd/, committed /tɪd/ ...
