From Lorena Alonsoguez's Linguistic Mediation in EOI Information
REMEMBER AS WELL:
- You know the person you are talking to. Treat them accordingly: say you will assist them at the beginning and at the end of your talk.
- Always paraphrase if you do not know one of the words in English! Or give an equivalent in meaning.
- Even though you may pretend the examiner is the person you are mediating with, do not ask questions, never expect answers; the examiner is not the person you are mediating with --you are doing a monologue.
