Speaking Test (Sample 2)

Even though the procedure of the test is not exactly the same as ours, it is perfectly valid for our purposes. Speaking Test Sample 2

  • Use a highlighter to underline the expressions, phrases, syntactical devices and vocabulary used in the sample to express opinions and facts. 
  • Read the text aloud, paying very special attention to stress and intonation (mainly stressed vs unstressed syllables in words; stressed vs unstressed words in phrases; and ups and downs (rise / falls) in your tone of voice. Always remember (while doing the activity) that you are NOT reading, but speaking.
