Common Christmas Phrasals

Trump Impeached

He is a step closer to being removed from office. Donald Trump has been impeached by the House of Representatives, becoming only the third US president to suffer the ignominy. Two articles of impeachment were passed over his behaviour in the Ukraine scandal early today - one for abuse of power and the other for obstruction of Congress. It means a trial in the Senate will decide on whether to convict Mr Trump and remove him from the White House. Addressing supporters at a rally in Michigan as the historic debate was held, Mr Trump was dismissive and defiant. US Editor Ben Riley-Smith explains the fateful phone call that led to this moment. What next? Rozina Sabur outlines the impeachment process.

Mediation for Xmas. Activity

Our Language Assitant will not go back to Canada for Christmas. She's staying with her sister in Cartagena and would like to know what will be going on around the city during Xmas. Read the info on a La Opinión article and be ready to explain to her as many activities as possible they can do during the holidays on a Whatsapp audio message. You have 3 minutes to do it.
We will do the activity on Wednesday 18th in class.

The Software that spies on your partner

Women's charities are concerned by new research that shows a rise in the use of so-called 'stalkerware'. The surveillance software allows someone complete access to a victim's phone showing private messages, GPS location and even giving someone the ability to see and hear through cameras and microphones. The BBC's cyber-security reporter Joe Tidy let a colleague spy on his phone for two days to show how easy it is.
