C2 Language Teaching in the Age of AI

Artificial Intelligence has recently taken on the role of an over-eager teaching assistant. You know the type: they appear at your elbow with astonishing speed, sometimes handing you exactly the materials you need, sometimes presenting an essay so suspiciously polished you wonder whose work it really is. At their best, they can make your life easier; at their worst, they generate three pages of nonsense and then ask if you’d like them to staple it. (Nicky De Proost)

The use (or maluse) of this kind of technology depends on our own criteria. We have to be conscious up to what extent we trust on this technology

That’s nothing new — human beings have always been forced to make that kind of harsh decision with every new technology: nuclear fission, dynamite, drugs, and so on. All of them can be used for good or bad, so Gen AI is pretty much the same, IMHO.
