An Annual LGBTQIA+ Pride Celebration

Every year, during the month of June, the LGBT community celebrates in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held during this special month as a way of recognising the influence LGBT people have had around the world. Why was June chosen? Because it is when the Stonewall Riots took place, way back in 1969.

"Education is about preparing learners to build a better world where diverse individuals can share the space in harmony. It is important to make learners (and all individuals) feel accepted, included, and respected to create better learning opportunities". In the US, yet another mass shooting made headlines, this time in Tulsa (Oklahoma). Figures show that there has been a daily average this year of 1.5 mass shootings, which could make 2022 a record year for gun violence. News were also dominated by the verdict in the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard case. We analyzed the decision and what it means for both parties.
