Burnt out is a phrase that describes being far too tired due to excessive stress. According to Psychology Today Staff, burnout is a state of emotional, mental, and often physical exhaustion brought on by prolonged or repeated stress. It is most commonly associated with work-related issues but can also manifest in other aspects of life such as parenting, caregiving, or romantic relationships.
