The phoneme /
ʒ /is perhaps one of the most difficult ones to pronounce for Spanish students, even though it is exactly the same as /
ʃ / (which is usually perfectly pronounced), but voiced instead of unvoiced.
The most common words where / ʒ / appears are:
Words ending in -sual: visual, usual, casual
Words ending in -sion (but -nsion): vision
Words ending in -sure (not "sure"): treasure, leasure, exposure
